COMPOSITION:
Sulfadimidine sodium 20 g per sachet.
PHARMACEUTICAL FORM:

PHARMACEUTICAL PARTICULARS:
Sulfadimidines have the following effects: Bacteriostatic effect on Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria (Pasteurella spp., Salmonella spp., E. coli, Actinobacillus pleuropneumoniae, Mycoplasma spp.). The sulfonamide functional group has the effect of competitively inhibiting p-aminobenzoic acid, which is a growth factor for microorganisms. Against Coccidia (E. necatrix, E. tenella, E. brunetti, E. maxima, E. stiedae, E. ovinoidalis, E. adenoeides, E. meleagrimitis, E. praecoc, E. mitis, E. bovis, E. zuernii , Isospora suis) in birds, rabbits, calves, piglets, lambs. It acts on the second generation of schizonts.

INDICATIONS:
Coccidiosis, especially in birds and rabbits. Treatment of infectious diseases caused by sulfadimidine-sensitive germs. Maintenance treatment following sulphadimidine injections.
CONTRAINDICATIONS:
Kidney, liver, blood and polyneuritis.
SIDE EFFECTS:
No side effects are known.
INTERACTIONS:
Do not co-administer with sulfur and its compounds, procaine anesthetics and combinations of drugs such as procaine-penicillin, methenamine (hexamethylene tetramine) or high doses of vitamin B, so as not to diminish the effect of the drug.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS:
Do not stop treatment even if relief is established after the first dose. Use a fresh solution every day!
DOSAGE:
Dissolve 1 sachet in 10 liters of drinking water and administer immediately for 3 days for drinking. If necessary, repeat this treatment for 3 days after a break of 3 days. Preventive administration to rabbits is recommended from the age of 5-10 weeks.
